If you are interested in joining 79 Squadron, and EAF, then you please complete for the form at the bottom of this page or post on the EAF forum and declare your interest, if possible saying a little about yourself. You will be contacted by one of the Admins in charge of the OTU process and they will send you the relevant links to the EAF Wiki and information pages.
Once this has been completed you will be taken through the OTU process by the EAF Instructors. This is a thorough process that evaluates your current ability and aims to teach the EAF Standard Operating procedures.
We’re always open to new members and EAF is a very welcoming group. 79 Squadron can attest to this having joined in August last year.
EAF have three main flying nights:
- Monday 20:00 UK local time
- Thursday 20:00 UK local time
- Sunday 20:00 UK local time
We’re mostly based in Europe, with the a couple of pilots in the US and one out in the Far East. We mostly fly in DCS, but have been in and out of the IL2 Great Battles series. The aircraft we tend to focus on most are the Razbam AV8B Night Attack, ED F/A-18C and the Spitfire Mk IXe. We are open to other aircraft being flown as well, but these are the main ones that we can help with training on. We also have knowledge of the Razbam Mirage 2000C, P-51D, F-16, F-5E and the A-10C.
