EAF had a busy night on Monday with a raid of Heinkels over London. The road was originally escorted, but they were taken care of by 54 Squadron, leaving the bombers free to be engaged at will. EAF331_Stuntman and EAF79_OD_ pressed home their attacks to knock down a number of He-111’s before returning to base without loss.
Yet again the Luftwaffe fighters declined to engage and their bombers paid the price.
